This garden belongs to Pauline's white house
The "good feeling" starts when one arrive outside Pauline's house.
The "good feeling" starts when one arrive outside Pauline's house.
The stone walls, the iron gates, the green hedges..
I adore the sandstone walls..one can't help but touch them on your way to the entrance, just beautiful.
all around the garden there are corners and areas where it seems someone has just left...
View over the "Hottentots Holland berge"
The ocean is just to the right of the image,
( not visible here)
Colors on a outside veranda on your way
is a hint of the palette inside..
looking through the kitchen window
towards the back garden...
the stone walls again...
down below and right up to the pool area
another picture perfect corner...as found
love it
how is it possible that stone and green can be so fulfilling..
or is it just me?
from inside out...
this home invites you both in and out
so if you like, I will share inside Pauline's white house in a next post.
Colx

Oh my Colette,
ReplyDeleteI would not be able to visist and then have to leave, she would have to drag me out of there kicking and screaming :)
I love the stone walls, The minerals from the stones that have stained the lime stone is breathtaking, its the little things like that, that get to me soulfully wanting to recreate that look for myself. Her iron gates and patio table and chairs charm me as well. Pool side get togethers wow! and the columns that have naturally aged with a charmed patina does not get any better then this does it?
The beached drift woods on the outdoor sofa chairs is killing me kindly and softly :)
I am sending this to my non blogging friend who is also in love with her house/Kitchen :)
I am excited to see more, I could so see my new posted dresser/Chest at her home and of course at yours...Did you notice I stalked some linens on top of my chest I posted, it was inspired by you and all your vignettes you create with your vintage linen's :)
Love all your beautiful photo's they amaze me!
Lots of Love.

Fabulous! What a beautiful spot and you are right about stone and greenery but it is such a natural combination. I can just imagine wandering around that gorgeous garden and then finding a shady spot to enjoy a strong coffee and sit and stare - bliss. Janette xxx
