Weekly vignette at the vintage fair

 MP for...French Monogram Pleasures...
or More Passions to be shared...or whatever you can make up.
When will I ever learn to take photographs before an event starts?.. as soon as the doors open, the vignettes starts changing as goods are sold.

I had the pleasure of opening some trunks to share my French monogrammed linen and some French Brocante finds at the Simondium Vintage Fair last weekend. It was a  lovely relaxed fair with dealers and visitors from as far away as the Eastern Cape and northern Mpumulanga. We met readers and bloggers which is always a real enjoyable bonus for me, and the regulars to my events that I so appreciate, how can I ever thank you enough?

Four days of vintage fun in a beautiful Cape  Winelands setting~ Simondium Lodge

No Brocante event of mine is complete without  the ever popular lamp shades and  cushions with feather inners sewn from original vintage French La Poste  mail sacs...

to my dear friend Christel who stands by my side with enough coffee and kindness, giggles and calculator to see me through, Merci !

Once in Nice I saw a statue of a veiled head just like the one you show. Yours is stunning, is it old? I am fascinated by the sculptors ability to make stonework look so fine and dainty.
Your stand looks amazing Colette, I bet the clients were thrilled

Gorgeous shots and linens to die for! Hard to believe it's not France. And your friend Pauline's house is a dream - proving yet again that South African homes are amongst the most beautiful, individual and imaginative in the world!

Beautiful stand Colette. You should be very proud of your accomplishments. As someone who has done this, there is an immense appreciation for those that create such lovely atmospheres. Bravo to you and what lucky clients you have.

Dear Colette, what a beautiful booth you have assembled, it takes special care and effort to accomplish this when setting up a show...lovely treasures, especially the veiled bust, it is exquisite and the Poste down pillows, and I could go on....I did trade shows for many years, they are rigorous, but the rewards so worthwhile ! How I wish I could attend! N.xo

Dear sweetest Colette, it doesn't get any more amazing then this :)
Love the vignettes of wonderment, the paper crowns...I also have made some, yet not quite as intriguing as yours, and what about your French linen pillows with stains of age trimed in dark?? they are so speaking to me!
Why O, why?? do I not live so many miles closer, I could shop your beauty filling my home with one of each, adding to what would make my heart swoon in love with my new treasures adding a bit of a touch of you here and there in my home.

Have a beautiful event.
Blessings
xoxo

Wow! You know how I have an obsession with the French linens, but I am blown away by your amazing display, creatively presented by you. I think that if we could instantly transport ourselves that you would have sold it all to blog friends!

I never tire of your photos and gorgeous linens!
