How do you pronounce the color white in french?
surrounded with old French linen ...

monogrammed linens and hand made lace,
the history of and era
without intention
my eyes seems to follow the same hue through out
I reach out, touch, smell and savour
the scent of freshly laundered linen,
folded and stored for needed use
I tag them
with monogram description,
size, quantity and entry no,
some with a scribbled private note: where found
the texture and color of linen,

How lovely all of your delicious whiteness is. The photo of DD and Yentl is the sweetest.
ReplyDeleteI only have a couple of French linen things and I love them so much. I think I would just sit and stare at them if I had beautiful stacks like yours.
Rhonda
Oh my goodness, those precious doggies. My 2 are right next to me at all times, yes, even in my bed. I love the way you organize and tie up the linens, it makes me realize how special they are. I'm like Rhonda, I would just stare at them. I have collected linens all over the world for 25 years, and I still think I need more. Where do you sell yours?

Our Afghan Hounds own the beds and pillows don't they?!? I just wish my bed linens were as lovely!
ReplyDeleteThe Afghan in my blog post today, (and last week) ... this morning she twice climbed into my lap while I was blogging and emailing. Afraid of something and had to be close to me. She gets nervous about something once in a while and thinks she is a little lap dog and climbs up into my lap. Of course I let her because it amuses me so that she wants to sit with me in my little chair.... but if you've never tried, believe me, it's hard to type over an Afghan Hound : )
Your blog is lovely...
